At AskOkey we tend to favour radical steps, so we decided to leap headfirst and design our own custom cloth – Why? A couple of reasons.
Someone sent us a request for a particular cloth – a midweight to heavyweight wool worsted. Another asked if we could have an old, discontinued cloth recreated. It just so happens that AskOkey’s partner is Harrisons1863, owner of H Lesser. In partnership with Harrisons of Edinburgh, we’re proud to officially introduce our AskOkey Exclusive cloth; with a heritage that precedes itself and in a very limited quantity, our custom cloth is a sober, yet suave navy worsted herringbone, revived after disappearing for over 30 years.
Why bring a classic back to life? Because this kind of cloth, heavy enough to drape exceptionally well but not overbearing like some heavyweights, and woven just tightly enough to give it a very solid, serious look, is very hard to come by today.
