Those of us who build our wardrobes for the long term, rather than as a bundle of consumables to be thrown away when they no longer serve their purposes, spend quite a bit for the simple reason that we know what we are buying, and we know the value of it.
If you treat your bespoke and MTM purchases as just more expensive versions of your throwaway items, expecting to toss them on the rag pile at some point, you will, naturally, see the price of an AskOkey garment as high. After all, these days you can buy a suit for USD 300 (Proff and I marvel at what such suits could possibly be made of, but that is another matter).

Somebody’s wardrobe (once)
As for the price – work it out. An AskOkey suit, if well cared for, will last 20 years or more, working out to about USD 5 per wearing (assuming that you wear it once a week). That compares favourably to the cost per wear of a cheap suit, which will last for about a year, if you wear it once a week. And it is unlikely that you will hand on your USD 300 suit to the next generation. So, when you next think about adding to your wardrobe with AskOkey (a smart new dinner jacket, for example), remember that you are purchasing an asset, not buying something to be used and cast aside.
